Four Paws And A Chick was referred to me by the grooming service we use for Bailey… What a GREAT FIND!!!!! The owner, Lori, is the exact type of individual you would want to care for your favorite four-legged family member! I have used the dog care service twice and I do not worry about his safety or care while in Lori’s hands. The bonus is, Lori will carefully provide mail/paper services while you are away too. I am embarrassed to say that my husband and I had not gone anywhere together, without our “kids”, for almost three years. We had tried the kennel route and just were not comfortable with the care and attention our dogs received. Then we met Lori! We could not be more pleased with the love, care and attention our “kids” receive from her. We have a busy household and it’s not for everyone, but Lori stepped in and handled it all in stride. High Fives for “Four Paws & A Chick” - Sometimes it is just not possible to travel with our 4 legged family members. We don’t mind asking a neighbor to let our dogs, Abby and Mikey, out once in a while, but not over a full weekend or longer trip. They are too spoiled for a kennel! (admit it, so are your pets!!) What other option is there!? Four Paws & A Chick of course! We can now travel with just the two-legged family members and know that the dogs back home are being well taken care of and are having their own vacation with Lori on the job. Thanks Lori!! Lori takes wonderful care of my two dogs and one cat! She is prompt for their dog walks each Saturday and Sunday and ensures they get their exercise and treats. When one of my dogs was dying in Nov., 2006 she called me after each visit to let me know how Codi was doing. Due to her care and concern I was able to take time off work and spend with Codi. Lori came by Codi's last day and said good-bye to her and put a tribute to Codi on her website. When I got a new puppy she adjusted her schedule to include extra dog walks for Milo until he got a little older. My other dog, Emma, (English setter) absolutely adores Lori and dances around when she comes to walk them. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone who needs dog walking / pet sitting services. Lori has been my pet sitter for almost three years. I do a lot traveling and use only Lori to watch my 3 cats. She is absolutely 100% reliable. I never worry when I am away and she has never let me down. Not only does she play with my cats, she brings in my mail and newspapers, and alternates my lights. Lori leaves a note for each day she was there telling me about the cats and how they were that day. She is very thorough in every respect and insists that I call her to tell her when I get home from my travels and I appreciate that. She worries about my babies. She is proactive in every respect, like ensuring she has two keys to my house, just in case. Everything Lori does is top notch. Lori is extremely reliable and takes great care of our dog, Teddy. She has been walking him daily M-F for more than two years, and is reliable and personable. She has also been willing to let Teddy out a second time on short notice if necessary. She leaves a brief note each day to let us know she was here. She also provides a quarterly newsletter with helpful information about dog and cat behaviors. I would recommend her without reservation.

My cats are my children and one of them is a "special needs" kitty who cannot be left alone for long periods of time. I've hired Lori (and her fabulous staff) to care for my cats in my absence on five separate occasions since last summer. Each time I return my cats request that I leave again so they can be pampered by Lori's staff. They are well fed, brushed, watered and otherwise cared for. Kate, who works for Lori, plays with them and leaves funny notes about each visit. I have complete trust in Lori and her staff to give my cats the best care possible. When I learn that I am going to be out of town, Lori is the first call I make before I even make travel arrangements. I would recommend her to anybody who loves their pet. Elizabeth P.
